SHOULD I HIRE A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST FOR MY WEDDING DAY?
IS THERE A WAY TO GET MY MAKEUP DONE BUT STILL LOOK NATURAL?
Absolutely! The majority of our clients wear very little or no makeup in their everyday lives. We customize each look for the client. Our goal is to enhance a bride's natural features without using unnecessary products.
Remember. YOU still look like YOU on your special day....just the best version of you.
I DON'T KNOW HOW I WANT MY HAIR OR MAKEUP DONE. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT WILL LOOK THE BEST?
Before your trial appointment, you will be participating in collaboration with your artist(s). This consists of consultation forms and an online visual collaboration. This will help you come up with some idea/inspiration photos.
During the trial, you will also have the opportunity to consult one-on-one with your artist(s) regarding ideas or advice to customize your look.
DO YOU PROVIDE ONSITE BRIDAL SERVICES?
Yes, we do! Having to keep an appointment to go to a salon with you and your party can be a stressful experience and could potentially delay the schedule for the day.
Why not get a stress-free start to your special day. We'll even come up with a minute-by-minute schedule so you know exactly when we'll arrive, when each service starts and when we'll complete.
Enjoy your services while in your own environment, surrounded by your friends and family. Drink mimosas, order in some bagels, and enjoy the day to it's fullest.
WHAT MAKEUP LOOKS AND/OR STYLES DO YOUR RECOMMEND FOR BRIDES?
We do have several Pinterest boards that are always being updated with the newest makeup and hair looks/trends. Each bride participates in an online visual collaboration with their artist(s) before the trial appointment. These visual collaborations are done using our bridal software, which integrates directly with Pinterest. Feel free to check out our Pinterest Boards.
DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT FOR MY EVENT?
Yes, a contract is required to be signed before all events. The agreement will outline all the essential details. The date, the start time, the services, the completion time, the pricing, and the payment plan. It will also spell out what we will do for you and when leading up to event day. It will also state what assistance we'll need from you along the way. The contract can just be eSigned right online.
IS THERE A DEPOSIT DUE BEFORE THE DAY OF THE EVENT?
Yes, we just require a 50% deposit to reserve your date and your artists. The deposit will be applied to the Final Payment Invoice. We do have the ability to do group invoicing if you don't feel like wrangling your bridal party to figure out who owes what. Our comfortable and convenient online payment system can do the work for you.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF SERVICES TO BOOK LEGENDARY MAKEUP & HAIR FOR MY EVENT OR WEDDING?
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOU?
We typically are booked out anywhere from 6 - 18 months in advance. Availability can change daily, so reserving your date and your artist(s) as soon as you've made a decision is recommended.
DO YOU OFFER TRIAL APPOINTMENTS?
Yes. We do offer trial services that include a consultation. Getting a chance to collaborate with your artist gives you peace of mind weeks before Wedding Day.
WILL THE ARTIST THAT DOES MY TRIAL BE THE SAME ARTIST THAT ATTENDS MY EVENT?
Yes, when a bridal trial is completed by one of our artists, they are then committed to your event.
WHAT HAPPENS AT A TRIAL? WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
A full skin analysis and product recommendations. These recommendations will be geared towards reaching the bride's specific goals for the day.
A consultation is done going over the look that has been envisioned and how it may have to be adapted/customized. The artist will explain different options that the bride may be excited about. Many times. The artist will take several pictures and recommend a mixture of the bride's favorite things about each one.
A full service is then performed. Changes may be made until the artist and bride are satisfied. Photos are taken for documentation purposes and sent to the bride as well as uploaded into our secure system. A face chart and skin analysis form are also uploaded into the system.
The bride is requested to give feedback 3-5 days after, and the artist will then submit her plan/ideas on the details of the changes. These are also uploaded into the system. The Bridal Vision Board is often used to continue collaboration/support up until the day of the wedding event.
DO I NEED A TRIAL?
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY TRAIL APPOINTMENT?
We recommend scheduling your trial appointment no sooner than 4-6 weeks prior. This way, we can ensure that we have time to make changes, the final dress fitting is completed, and all accessories have been purchased. If a trial is performed prematurely, product, tools, and equipment used during the trial/preview service may no longer be available when the event date rolls around... or the look/style performed can be outdated.
HOW LONG ARE THE TRIAL APPOINTMENTS?
The timeline for a hair and makeup trial will depend on the intricacy of the makeup and hairstyle. Typically, we ask you to allow 2 1/2 to 3 hours for both the hair and makeup appointment. 90 minutes is averaged for makeup and 45-60 minutes for hair trials.
WHERE ARE THE TRIAL APPOINTMENTS PERFORMED?
SHOULD I BRING ANYTHING WITH ME TO THE TRAIL?
Please come with a clean face for your makeup trial appointment. Come with dry hair that has not been washed for at least 24 hours for all hair trials. Bring any hair accessories.
I'M AN OUT OF TOWN BRIDE. WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY TRIAL?
Can you believe approximately 85% of our brides are destination brides? You can pre-schedule your trial if travel my be necessary. A great rule of thumb is to schedule it as close to your wedding day as possible. Trust us! This way, you will have had your final dress fitting. Your hair cut, color, and skin tone will have little time to change. You also will have your veil and/or hair accessories purchased so you can bring them to your trial appointment. We can usually even schedule the trial the week you arrive for the big day.
CAN I BOOK A TRIAL PRIOR TO BOOKING THE WEDDING DAY SERVICES?
Yes. However, there's no guarantee that the artist will still be available unless you have reserved your date and your artist. Artist's availability changes daily.
CAN I BOOK A TRIAL AND THEN DECIDE IF I'D LIKE TO BOOK SERVICES FOR MY DATE?

Our convenient online payment system is available 24/7 for online payment. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express. For additional services added the day of the event, payments must be made by credit card ONLY. No cash will be accepted other than for gratuity.
Changes & Cancellations
IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE CHANGES AFTER I RESERVE MY DATE?
Yes. You can make changes anytime. Providing Artist availability, you may continue to edit services before and after the Security Deposit is made. Our Artist' schedules are determined well in advance; therefore, we encourage change requests be made as early as possible, as they are contingent on Artist availability.
HOW DO I MAKE CHANGES TO MY EVENT AFTER BOOKING?
We ask YOU to make changes to ensure the accuracy of the details. Edits can be made to your event from your Online Wedding Account. Each client receives their own Online Wedding Account during the quote process.
Once new edits are received, a revised Service Proposal is posted to your Account Page. You may continue to add services up to the event date, provided Artist availability.
IS THERE A CANCELLATION POLICY?
WHAT'S YOUR BACKUP PLAN IF YOU'RE SICK OR OTHERWISE UNABLE TO MAKE IT TO MY EVENT/APPOINTME NT?
We do have a Dependability Policy that each of our artists are familiar with. All artist trials are documented with photographs and face charting and uploaded into our bridal software. We typically have around 10 Master Artists available on each event day. If there is an unavoidable absence, we do have one Master Artist designated to provide a replacement with capabilities and experience to finish the tasks. This would be our “On-Call Artist,” and they are rotated each week.
Additional Costs (Travel, Parking, Gratuity, etc)
HOW DO TRAVEL FEES WORK?
IS GRATUITY INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICING?
Gratuity is not included in our pricing. To simplify the transaction process and to ensure a stress-free start to your special day, the industry-standard 20% gratuity is added to final invoicing before event day. Past brides have expressed this helps, as wedding day can be stressful and sometimes a bit chaotic:)
DOES IT COST MORE TO REQUEST ONSITE SERVICES?
No. The cost is all-inclusive unless you are outside of the service area. Then travel fees may apply. Our service area includes a 20 mile radius around our address.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
DO ALL OF YOUR ARTISTS PROVIDE HAIR AND MAKEUP?
No. Our artists consist of makeup artists, hairstylists, and yes, we do have artists that do both. They are not chosen based on their ability to do both. They are selected based on their talent and expertise in their craft. Every Bridal Artist with Legendary Makeup & Hair specializes specifically in bridal services. We do also have additional artists available the day of the event that specialize specifically in bridal party services.
HOW ARE ARTISTS CHOSEN FOR MY EVENT?
Artists are assigned based on the event location, start time, completion time, the services being provided, and the number of participants. Our master artists are assigned based on the order of seniority on a first-come-first-serve basis.
CAN I REQUEST AN ARTIST?
If an artist is requested and is available, we will, of course, assign that artist to your event. Artist availability is limited, so be sure to reserve services promptly.

I HAVE ALLERGIES TO CERTAIN MAKEUP. WHAT BRANDS DO YOU USE?
WHAT BRANDS OF MAKEUP AND HAIR PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
All the hair and makeup products that I use are Professional Brands that were designed to give long-lasting results and photograph beautifully. They are bought through professional retailers, and each artist has different preferences when it comes to their products and tools they prefer to work with. We have a partnership with over 200 professional brands, and our products and tools change, as does the industry. New products and tools come out every day. We are always actively researching new products and tools to determine those that we may/may not add to our kits. Some of our favorite and most commonly used brands among our artists are Make Up For Ever, Tarte, NARS, Benefit, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, & Urban Decay.
HOW DO YOU SANITIZE YOUR MAKEUP PRODUCTS & BRUSHES?
DO YOU HAVE PRODUCTS FOR DIFFERENT SKIN TYPES?
We do, yes. We have a Lead Esthetician that reviews each Pre-Consultation form for skin, and she provides a skincare recommendation for each bride. Most of our makeup artists are also Estheticians, and they do determine the proper priming and prepping techniques for their clients. Besides those priming and prepping products, we also have foundations and other skin-specific additives that are used, such as liquid powders, setter/fixers, and film-forming barriers. Our airbrush product is no exception. We have different formulas for different skin types.
WHAT WILL YOU DO TO MAKE SURE MY LOOK LASTS ALL NIGHT?
DO YOU COVER TATTOOS OR SCARS?
CAN I SUPPLY MY LASHES?
IF I DON'T WANT LASHES CAN I REMOVE THEM FROM MY SERVICE?
We include lashes in all of our bridal services. They are complimentary. Of course, you can choose to pass on the lashes, or you can gift them to another participant.
IS AIRBRUSH MAKEUP BETTER THEN TRADITIONAL MAKEUP?

WHAT IS MAKEUP/PREPPING PROCESS USED FOR OILY SKIN?
The setter fixer we would use is an alcohol-based product that will help combat oil while also making the application adhere to the skin. The liquid powder absorbs oil from underneath the foundation before it can breakthrough.
We do recommend airbrush makeup for best results. Our airbrush makeup formula used for oily skin is entirely waterproof, rub proof, transfer-proof, and fadeproof.
We also use a setter/fixer on top of the application, which again increases its durability by making it adhere to the skin. We finish it up with a "film-forming barrier," which provides a protective layer.

No, We would prefer that you come with a clean, makeup-free face for your makeup appointment.

Start time depends on the type and number of services requested. We are committed to keeping the service times under 5-6 hours max. The itinerary includes some built-in buffer time for any unforeseen delays as well as setup, teardown, breaks & touchups.

A combination of details, including the number of participants, service selection, location, Artist availability, and requested Ready Time, is used to determine the number of Artists. There is no additional service cost if other Artists are required. Our commitment is to assign enough Artists to keep services under 5-6 hours.

Yes. We can accommodate any size group.
